Anyhow, so Susan said to me, don't tell Genie, unless someone else is coming too. Truth be told, Susan doesn't really like Genie (Genie was originally a friend of Alex's, and we've known her for like 15 years, but Susan still finds her too annoying). So I said I wouldn't. However, at the Christening on Sunday at Felicia's, I mentioned it to Genie (because I thought Alex was going to come). Genie wasn't sure of course (decision-making isn't really her strong suit), but I said we'd let her know.
Of course, the next day Susan sends a message to me, Alex & Felicia about the trip, and now they BOTH aren't going to come! They're both trying to plan trips this summer (even though they always complain about money, and yes I get that a shopping trip isn't the best way to NOT spend money, but I think you get my meaning on this). So Felicia is a definite "no", and then Alex is a "no" also.
So tonight Susan sends me a message about yay how it's just us, and we sort of start arranging dates. Except, um, I didn't mention to her that I MIGHT have mentioned to Genie about this shopping trip. Shit.
Oh, and we're planning to try somewhere different, here.Should be fun; this will be a two-day trip, in July or August.
In other news, finally we have the AC on. I've spend the last two nights tossing & turning, and sweating all morning getting ready for work. My father just bitches about the cost of the AC all summer, but really, we only have it on when it's really hot and/or muggy out. Which tonight, it was muggy. It's supposed to storm (thunder & lightening outside right now), so that'll cool off the heat & humidity. So, no more AC for a while; he'll be happy.
I didn't get any colour from earlier this week; probably a good thing. My sunscreen is just too good. But, I finally went in the pool (don't think I went in at all last year). As father said, "No one can see you, just go in." So I finally did. It was pretty cool, though.
Well I better end this before lightening strikes me and I lose everything. That'd be my luck.
